Position Summary
We are looking for a responsible and knowledgeable IT support colleague to help provide high-quality technical support to Caljan employees. Your main tasks will include delivering first-level assistance, resolving IT issues, and improving our helpdesk function, as well as actively supporting both daily operations and global projects. Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Helpdesk team member, provide IT support for Caljan employees.
- Provide first-level helpdesk, telephone and desk-side support of various computer hardware and software.
- Maintain and develop the helpdesk function, create procedures and manuals.
- Get the most accurate request from the clients.
- Assess the complexity of the task.
- Manage user onboarding and offboarding by setting up devices, emails, and access rights for new employees, and revoking access and collecting hardware from departing staff.
- Filter tasks, redirect to IT colleagues or other departments.
- Monitor system alerts and respond to priority incidents, performing routine checks such as disk space, backups, and report reviews.
- Training sessions to employees, including on/off boarding.
- Perform technical operations including password resets and account unlocks (Active Directory), new user account setup and permission configuration, software and hardware installation, IT asset record maintenance, printer setup and troubleshooting, participation in global projects, and management of minor local projects.
Essential Experience and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent, associate degree in IT or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of IT support experience.
- Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems and common software applications.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Customer service-oriented and ability to remain patient and calm under pressure.
- Certifications within IT-support are beneficial and preferred.
- Willing to learn and develop social and IT skills.
