About the role
We are looking for a Group Financial Controller to strengthen our Group Finance team at our global headquarters in Hasselager, Denmark. In this role you will report to our Group Accounting Director.
This is a key role with a central position in ensuring high-quality group reporting, strong internal controls, and transparent financial processes across our international organization.
You will work closely with the Group Accounting Director, Group CFO, local finance teams, and external stakeholders, acting as a trusted partner to both Group Management and the business.
The role combines technical accounting, consolidation, controlling, forecasting, audit coordination, and systems ownership, offering broad exposure across the entire finance function.
Key responsibilities
Group reporting & consolidation
Prepare and review monthly group reporting (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
Perform consolidation entries, reconciliations, and adjustments
Ensure data quality and consistency across subsidiaries
Maintain and improve reporting structures and tools (AARO)
Ensure compliance with IFRS, including specific standards such as IFRS 16
Month-end and year-end closing
Drive and support closing processes across entities
Coordinate group closing activities and documentation
Perform analysis and reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting
Participate in monthly review calls with subsidiaries
Budgeting & cash flow
Participate in group budgeting (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
Provide cash flow analysis and decision support to Group Management
Internal controls & compliance
Maintain and develop internal control frameworks
Support control self-assessments and compliance initiatives
Ensure continuous improvements across processes
Audit & external stakeholders
Coordinate audit processes including pre-audit and year-end audit
Act as a key contact for auditors and external advisors
Support dividend processes and bank-related activities
Transfer pricing, tax & sustainability
Prepare and maintain transfer pricing documentation
Support VAT and tax-related processes
Coordinate financial input to sustainability and EU Taxonomy reporting
Systems & process development
Act as key user for financial systems and reporting tools
Ensure data integrity and support system users
Drive improvements, automation, and standardization across Group Finance
Your profile
We are looking for a structured and analytical finance professional who thrives in a global and dynamic environment.
To succeed in the role, you must have:
A relevant master’s degree in Finance, Audit, Accounting, or similar
Experience from working as an auditor – preferably in one of the bigger audit companies
Solid experience with group accounting or consolidation
Strong understanding of financial reporting
Excellent Excel skills and experience with reporting systems (e.g., AARO or similar)
Fluent in English
